Aloe Vera
The origins of the Aloe Vera plant are not exactly known - some sources relate that its beginnings were in Africa, some in
Arabia from where it spread into the rest of the expanding world.
The Aloe Vera plant normally grows to no more than one meter in height, with its broad succulant leaves up to 20cm thick.
Benefits:
The healing properties of the Aloe Vera plant have been known for milenia - dating back at least to
a 1552 BC Greek medical manuscript.
Mainstream modern interest began in 1934 with Aloe Vera being used to treat major x-ray burns, where other treatments had
failed (Corbeil, 2000).
Aloe Vera is a cellular nutrient that has the power to heal, sooth and moisturise damaged tissue cells.
It's a natural anti-inflammatory (containing plant steroids), which reduces the cellular inflammation caused by
sunburn and other forms of irritating
sun damage.
Promotes tightening of the skin surface through skin hydration and nutrition.
In this way it works against the formation of wrinkles and other forms of sun-induced skin aging.
Increases blood flow to the skin to speed the healing
process and stimulate cell regeneration.

Has effective antibacterial and bacteriostatic properties.
